Why join CONA?

CONA
Sarasota Council of Neighborhood Associations, Inc.

Eight reasons your homeowner or condominium association should join CONA:

1. Receive CONA support when your neighborhood is threatened by incompatible development. Don’t reinvent the wheel. CONA will help you when other coalitions can’t or won’t. CONA’s sole interest is protecting and assisting Sarasota County’s neighborhoods as they deal with issues of county-wide concern.

2. Network with other associations and solve problems through CONA. Join CONA and learn how other neighborhood and condominium associations have dealt with the very same issues.

3. Give your association a county-wide voice. By joining CONA, Sarasota County’s only county-wide neighborhood coalition, your association gains a bigger voice in deciding what issues are important to neighborhoods, lobbying, and helping set a neighborhood friendly agenda for Sarasota County.

4. Hear, meet and question candidates for public office at CONA: During every election cycle, CONA holds candidates’ nights at which you can meet and question candidates about issues affecting your neighborhood and life.

5. Attend interesting, informative monthly CONA membership meetings (second Monday of each month 7:00 PM  at the Sarasota Garden Club, (1131 Boulevard of the Arts
Sarasota, FL ) to meet and hear about issues of importance and interesting monthly programs useful to member organizations.

6. Read CONA’s monthly newsletter with practical, informative articles about neighborhoods and issues affecting them in Sarasota County.

7. CONA website is a work in progress—with useful information and room for a page for each association member. www.conasarasota.org

8. Membership is only $35 per year. How can your neighborhood afford not to join? Individual (personal ) memberships are also available fro only $20 per year.

Association memberships: Only $35/year.
